There are plenty of stupid people around to keep that business going for a few months.

This sounds like the scam they were doing earlier where fake tracking is hacked into the system.
The tracking will show delivered, you get nothing, and Aliexpress or Alibaba goes by tracking and releases the money to the scammer.
You should warn your credit card company now. In the past, they were inclined to side with the fake tracking, and deny any dispute.
There are a number of threads here about this scam. Alibaba and Aliexpress "guarantees" are worth the paper they are written on (think about it).

AliExpress fake seller stores “xxxxOrders Store”

I noticed that there are hundreds of new accounts with this format. Older ones have user comments that specify that somehow the seller falsified the tracking to look like it is real and at the end on the tracking it said that the package was delivered when in fact there was no package. Buyers...

Ah man up till now I thought he would get something that was mostly unusable but something. (bloated damaged cells?) but now I think I have to move my vote over to the scam-never arrives camp.

Yes. Unless they have a EU or US warehouse, shipping is 2-3 months. And if you do some research you would have known
a. 320Ah doesnt exist
b. Average price is $110-130 nowadays from CN ex shipping, $150-170 or so from local warehouse
 
Document other shipping/tracking numbers so you can show proof that the timestamps are the same. I had this happen to me. I use PayPal and did not go through AliExpress. No reason to waste my time with AliExpress, get declined, then go down the PayPal avenue.

I sent 10 screen prints with 10 different tracking numbers [I found you can just change the last digit of the number and see the results]. I toyed with the seller for months asking where my cells were. It was interesting reading to go to the post office. So many different ways to say 'Go to the post office'.

If the tracking number stamps are the same with others, you are screwed. Learn from this. There is no good deal. Allow companies to make a fair profit. Don't be so greedy. That greed will cause you to lose time and money.

I think the gig is up.

Sent vendor a question on why tracking details were not showing up on the Aliexpress tracking page whereas third party sites showed progress and received a nonsensical answer. Opened a dispute with Aliexpress and now a few days later the third party sites that were showing process no longer recognize the number.... Will be contacting CC co. today for a refund.
 
Best of luck. I wonder if/when CC companies will stop doing business with aliexpress.
 
I get that the blame lands on Aliexpress, but not everyone is a thief on that site. Aliexpress could police their sellers a bit more. They could side with the buyers a bit more. Once you put policies in place, thieves will go elsewhere [and so will the buyers].

Some [or maybe even most] of the blame has to go to the buyer. Why would anyone be so gullible that they will be a $200 battery for $50 shipped to your home? Nobody ever forced you to buy their product. Is there even a split second that you don't think this is a scam?

The ones that are really bad are the sellers that are selling at a fair price and you get a bag of rocks.

Poll shows 6.8% thought it was legit. That is plenty to operate the scam at a profit.

OP, best of luck on getting the money back. Be sure to fully cancel the card and get a new card issued. Several have seen charges pushed through again a month after getting the credit back.
