IR Meter Source (YR1030/1035)

I don't have an IR meter, but from what I've read the YR1030/1035 or RC3563 seem to be the way to go. I think I will just get the 1030/1035. It will be used for 8ah Headway cells, 18650 lithium cells, and potentially some larger LFP cells (300ah) in the future. Would love to be able to get some measures on RC Lipo packs also, but that is not a requirement.
The question is where to get one? Many threads on this, but mostly older and some links no longer work. I see some on Aliexpress for as little as $20 shipped whereas on Amazon or eBay they are more like $50-$80 depending on the accessories. But I also see on Ali for $40-$60. I'm just wondering if the cheap ones on Ali are the same as the others and everybody else is charging too much, or if the more expensive ones are better in some way.
Anybody have experience getting a good YR1030/1035 from Ali? Or can recommend the best source? It's so hard to tell these days whether you are getting scammed by over-paying or scammed by under-paying.

I am looking at the Amazon YR1035. I would not consider Ali.

I would order from Ali if it were a part I could accept a counterfeit or a delay. I could wait for a battery meter, but could not accept a counterfeit.

Which one on Amazon? To me these look exactly the same from Amazon and Ali except the Amazon version with all accessories is $80 and the Aliexpress version is $40.
Amazon Yaorea 1035
Aliexpress Yaorea 1035

And for a few bucks less here is the 1030
Aliexpress Yaorea 1030

If the Amazon one was a different brand then maybe I'd consider the difference, but the one on Aliexpress is literally being sold by the Yaorea store. I checked the ratings and it gets 5 stars for all categories (shipping speed, item as described, communication), and this vendor has been around since 2018. So...am I being scammed by Amazon to pay $80 for a $40 product, or am I getting scammed by Aliexpress paying $40 for a counterfeit?

I would only consider Amazon or ebay as I'm dealing with a U.S. source. I have three, and that's where I sourced them.

This one ships from California:

I have been looking at these IR instruments also. Anyone know if there a difference between the YR1030+ and the YR1035+?

The eBay listing @sunshine_eggo posted is a good price from what I have been able to find.

I tried looking for the differences as well. The only thing I could find is something about the zeroing function. The 1030 you have to zero every time but not the 1035. ?? The cables are different between them too. But I really have no idea the difference in functionality if there is any.
Also, I've seen some advertised with "reinforced probe", so wondering what that is and if it makes any difference?

The Plus models have logging functions, the 1035 can be downloaded via USB... there are a few versions that also have different "probes or clamps".
The OEM for these is YAOREA

FYI: These are typically around $45 USD + S&H from China

Differences Between YR1030+ and YR1035+
YR1030+ Maximum voltage: 28V
YR1035+ Maximum voltage: 100V
YR1035+ has higher voltage accuracy and resolution than YR1030+. The internal resistance accuracy is the same.

Thanks for clarifying Steve. I am going to look at the 1035 or 1035(+) because I do have some use for the higher voltage capabilities.

This is where the confusion sets in. All three of the below are from the same vendor, and the base device appears to be the same. But the prices range from $35 and free shipping to $50 plus $13.62 shipping. I thought the $40 might just be the meter itself, but in the pictures it shows all the accessories. Also, in the description it lists shipping weights of each individual accessory which are exactly the same as the most expensive option with the "reinforced probe". And the Option 3 listing shows the widest range of possible accessories from $35 for the meter and a basic probe to $50 for all accessories. Apparently the difference between the $47 combo 2 and $50 combo 3 is that combo 3 has "pogo" pins on the probe that go in and out on a spring. Not sure if that is desirable or not.

YR1035 Option 1
YR1035 Option 2
YR1035 Option 3

Is Aliexpress kind of like eBay? Sometimes I see exact same items from exact same seller on eBay but prices and shipping can vary a little bit and produce a different final price. I have a feeling that's what is happening here.
I know others advised sticking with Amazon, but the Amazon listing literally looks exactly the same with a few different accessory combos available. And the seller has like 90,000 items in their store. To me, this says "I buy the exact same stuff as you get on Aliexpress, hold inventory in the US, and charge you extra. My warehousing costs get passed on to you in the form of familiarity and domestic shipping speed." I have absolutely no problem with that Amazon route, I just don't think it's a different product at all. I wonder if somebody has already done something like order both and compare?

Found this listing on eBay with a 99.1% USA seller for the 1035+ at a cost of $50 with free shipping and 60 day returns allowed... although buyer pays return shipping.

Thinking about picking this one up...

That's a pretty good deal.

Aliexpress is rife with scammers. Yes, there are legit sellers.

I linked an ebay option as did @Dynoman .

I would choose to buy ebay purely for the buyer protection. Aliexpress is not well known for satisfactory resolutions of issues.

These are only made by Chinese manufacturers. I would prefer to buy from a seller stocking them in the U.S. rather than dealing with shipping from and to China. I'm willing to pay them a cut to ensure I don't have to deal with any DOA headaches.

Yeah, I think I'll have to consider shopping from Ebay again, better prices.

Plus, have several orders late from Amazon in period of few months, including YR1035+ on expedited shipping.
