Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

Would you call people "dramatic easily swayed" and "impulsive" to their faces?

I find it interesting the problem was resolved AFTER he posted. The "squeaky wheel gets the grease" comes to mind.
Yes I would call them out directly. The second post as settled should have been the first post instead of all the drama.

If the OP wants to just complain here and get sympathy then should have come here first to follow the preferred contacts etc.
Actually it seems the OP has been a forum member for a while and still did not contact the recommended representative.

Seriously, what's with the attitude towards any problem reported with Docan?
Would you call people "dramatic easily swayed" and "impulsive" to their faces?
I’ve spent almost 40 years now working with customers for their satisfaction. And I’m not a psychologist. But the initial drama and following radical reversal and declaration of satisfaction is… just not a typical reasonable person’s behavior. What else can I say?

Perhaps OP is faultless and beyond reproach, absent of any negative emotion, and psychologically is the epitome of a balanced reasonable human being.

Nothing for or against dokan- I just picked up on the “I’ve been treated bad gimme a discount” boilerplate. Faces, clothes, and nationality changes yet the plot is familiar.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have posted that? I thought about it and decided I didn’t mind calling it out as I read it six times.

I still would like to see a copy of the original invoice. I asked @Stormbringer999s several times and his lack of response still makes closure difficult for me.
Yes I think something is up, any one who makes this claim, then refuses to show pictures or invoice (which is very easy to blur out important personal info) I am calling as the younglings would say.. "SUSS"

Sounds rather dramatic and impatient to me
Drama? I simply asked @Stormbringer999s to post a copy of his invoice so I could see the facts of the transaction. It is one page, not "all sorts of things". I have not seen anything yet. You are free to form your own conclusion. I have not formed a conclusion but the lack of response to a simple request is puzzling. Pehaps my persistence is considered impatience? However I am patiently waiting for that copy before I pass judgement.

I was just pointing out that less than 24 hours after he posted, there were lots of conclusions jumped to.

Honestly, if I was him, I would unsubscribe.

And the concept I was going with was "Trust but Verify“ not "lot of conclusions jumped to“
You have to admit it was a teaser headline with "BEWARE DOCAN" all in caps. Was @Stormbringer999s trying to get the reader to jump to the conclusion that it was bait and switch. A copy of the invoice would help clarify that instead of a meaningless screen shot of a product description page. .

I don't know if someone posted this already, but my primary source in China (who is relatively honest with me) sent me this:

EVE is now labeling their 304AH cells that are sold from Alibaba or AliExpress with a "B" on the QR code. I don't know it this means Grade B or perhaps someone that is a little more informed than I will know a definitive answer. I get so many different answers from each vendor in China, it's insane.

I want to see if anyone in the US has actually got these B cells, should not have to wait too long or maybe all of a sudden many sellers no longer have EVE for sale and switched to another vendor that doesn't make there cells with a B.

Warning this posts contains information sourced from questionable overseas sources. The source is biased to make the information appear as "no big deal" so as to not hurt their own sales. It may contain false information unknown to be true or false by the poster at the time of posting.

I was told by 2 suppliers that this mark means the cells were sold to a secondary supply chain, e.g. not for EV use. I just got in a batch of 200x EVE 280K's for retail sale and they all have the "B" mark, however they do not have any bloating, scratches, dings, etc. that I would normally flag as B-grade.

We will be capacity testing this weekend to see where they land, but this is what I've been told (for what it's worth).

Does anyone see any truth in this? I have a hard time believing this and have always thought the cells we are getting probably aren't what we think we are getting (although good enough for use, and pass our tests). Does anyone actually know what's going on here???

Actually no, but it seems to me that EVE is labeling everything going into the grey market so these low priced cells do not cannibalize their Automotive Grade cell sales. That is my speculation but it seems logical from an economic/marketing perspective.
BTW I have asked the mods to shut down this thread. It is drifting and pops the erroneous topic to the top.

If you have B on it, you have a rejected cell, simple as that It should be clear at this point. If your supplier was supplying you cells like then you need to demand a refund form them because they were stringing you a long the whole time.

Ask them to give you the green / yellow spread sheet that shows the testing data.

why would you want to shut down this thread??? I'm sorry but this is probably the most informative thread on this forum at the minute. I would thing the only people wanting to shut this down are the ones who are trying to sell cells with a B or the ones affiliated with sellers grade B.

Maybe the narative should be: Grade B is ok for what we do and sellers should stop claiming grade A when they are not.

This is why I suggested previously that it would be great if there was a cell standard for ESS/solar like there is for EV grade/standard.

F.ex maybe a cell isn't good enough for EV grade but it does still meet ESS/Solar grade (if there was such a thing).

To me a Grade B product is poor or used. I am not sure I would describe the cells I received from Docan as that. I mean they are clearly not EV grade but they are new and unused, and seem ok for solar usage so far.

why would you want to shut down this thread?
The OP updated the thread that the issue was resolved but did not update the title by changing it to, "RESOLVED". I have no skin in the game. I have not bought anything from Docan but I respect the value they have brought to the market.

Some people arent super forum savvy, my friend. I'd like to think a mod could at least link his resoluton post into the OP if the OP himself either wasn't inclined or simply does not know how.
I believe he wasn't inclined. I am biased because i asked him several times for a copy of the invoice and he never responded.
