An 8S BMS is only for a 24V battery. In such a case you'd need your 16 cell battery configured as 2P8S.how to connect a 8s bms to the 100ah 16 cell system please.
So it is not possible to connect it on a 48 volt system? An 8S BMS is only for a 24V battery. In such a case you'd need your 16 cell battery configured as 2P8S.
Wiring is negative 1st (usually black) wire to cell 1 pair negative, 2nd to cell 1 pair positive, 3rd to cell 2 pair positive, 4th to cell 3 pair positive... 9th to cell 8 pair positive.
No, for a 48V system you need an 16S BMS.So it is not possible to connect it on a 48 volt system?
Can you show me a diagram of each please?Yes, several ways:
4P8S which is quite a bit of cells in parallel. I run 2P4S successfully but not sure i'd recommend 4P8S unless you did a LOT of cell testing and matching.
2P8S x2 (2x 24V batteries connected in parallel, each consisting of 16 cells, needing 2x 8S BMS)
8S x4 (4x 24V batteries connected in parallel, each consisting of 8 cells, needing 4x 8S BMS)
