I received a Meanwell NPB-1700-12 charger on Monday. The unit was supposed to have been cancelled as I ordered a larger 3200W charger. I spoke to the salesperson at TRC and she was very apologetic. She said her fault and no problem they will send me a shipping sticker to send back. I told her I would ask around here on Forum to see if anybody might be interested. She will send me shipping label tomorrow so time sensitive.

So this is a powerful 85Amp 12v charger with PFC input. PFC input is what you need to pull nice sinewaves off the line. You can use the smallest generator to charge your pack. A 1kW generator might work well. I recommend you look at data sheet. I have a bunch of Meanwell gear. DC-DC converters, battery chargers, and inverters. If I could buy all my gear from Meanwell I would. It is from the other China. In any case the stuff is built very well and rugged.

Below is link to data sheet. I have the programmer coming as well. If you are interested then ping me. TRC may discount price or make some other concession worth looking at. If there is interest I will ask. Unit is in New Hampshire for shipping concerns.

Roswell Bob
