This situation is why I'm not a fan of batteries with built-in warming. The warming doesn't kick in until it sees a charge current. Bringing the battery up to above the Low Temperature Disconnect can take hours, depending upon how cold the batteries got. My preference is to keep the batteries above 32°F so they can take a charge as soon as the sun comes up.
