Seplos Mason DIY kit review (4/5)

Hi all, charging the seplos 280 mason with my victron 48/5000 tonight, what would be classed as bad cell voltage difference ,the kit I bought included grade A cells

Cell Voltage difference went up to about 7.000 mv when discharging and nearly empty, I am now at 32% SOC and I have a difference of 2.000 mv to 4.000mv

Looks good to me! Your delta should be expressed as .002mv, which is excellent.
Mine are currently about .003mv, but can vary much higher when under load.

I would think you have -0- to worry about when your cells are suffering between 7mv ( 0.007 v) and 2mv (0.002 v)

Don't be distracted by the comma ;)

Hi all thanks for the input, and have a great evening, and apologies for all of the questions

Finally got my Seplos Mason and Sunsynk Inverter set up. Been a long road due to DNO delays :(

I do have one question though. The SOC is set on the inverter and currently set to 100% charge. Should this be adjusted to 95% or is it fine to leave at 100%?

Think I read that the recommended is a range of 95% and 15% but mine was defaulted to 100% and 10%.

You can safely leave it to 100%
I would however , do some configuration changes to the BMS, specifically the charge voltage shouldn't be higher than 56.8 and by default the BMS is set to 100a, which should be changed to you cell AH'S

Configuring the BMS was the bit I was nervous about so I’d just left it alone so far. Looks like I’ll have to look at making some changes.

Wondering if any of these kits come with cutouts for the separate screen and ports Seplos offers with their V3 BMS's?
You can customize the kits at some vendors, I have the parts coming for 24volt boxes with cut outs for JK BMS and screen.

Each 24volt 304ah box complete is running me $1169.00 per box. Next order should be cheaper.

Is that 793 without cells?
Sorry must have been sleep posting, cells are 8-EVE 304ah matched and batched for $752.00. Boxes with BMS, screen, 200 amp breaker, on off switch, and network connections were $269.00 each. With shipping they were about $1169.00 each complete.

Hi all, a quick update, i built my seplos mason kit a few months ago, i charged it then discharged it then charged it again to 20%, then disconnected it from my inverter etc as my pylontechs came back from repair . Anyhow, I connected the seplos battery back up to my inverter and i have been using it to power my home office for the past 10 days . We had a very brief spell of no rain / cloud and managed to charge it up to about 75% over 3 or 4 days ( from 20%) I have to say that it seems to hold charge and charges faster than my pylontechs, this is a screen dump from my cerbo. The cerbo detects it as an lg battery. I cant connect the pylontechs to the seplos so not sure of the plan going forward, unless i charge one from the grid and one from the solar. All of my kit is victron, mppt(s) inverter etc Pretty happy with the seplos kit

Hi how does this look cell balance wise?
Can't tell, the pack and cell voltages are too low. When SOC is 10%-90% there's usually very little difference between cell voltages. Need to charge the battery up to 100% to check cell balance.

Question,I ordered 2 more of the Seplos vertical battery box and this time the BMS only has 2 terminals instead of 3 for mounting busbars. Did they send me some old stock , old version??
I want all 4 of my battery’s to communicate with each other.
