I wasn't questioning your math. I just don't think we're using the same cost factors.
Using the link from this site the cost of (4) 302AH, 3.2V cells is $899.
Add the $100 mentioned earlier and that's $999.
302 x 3.2 x 4 = 3,865.6 or 3.866 kWh.
$999 for 3.866kWh comes out to $258.40 per kWh.
I can do the math.
The EG4 on Sig Solar's site is advertised at $278 per kWh.
That's certainly less than 20% difference. All that said, I definitely am going to check out the information provided by
@houseofancients on the EVE cells. Saving close to 50% and getting comparable quality is absolutely worth considering.
