Signature solar warranty department issues

I get it everyone wants things to work perfect all the time.... but reality is every mechanical device can fail and Murphy's law says it probably will. How we handle things when they do fail is a separate issue. As long as a company is doing what they can to solve issues and they are listening to the consumers of their products hopefully they can solve issues so they don't happen in the future. I dare anyone to name a product that has never failed. I'm not perfect, you're not perfect (editorial you for the snow flakes) and no company, inverter or battery is perfect.

Good luck with expecting perfection.

Other companies are going to be selling EG4 products soon. So you won't need to go through signature solar any longer. Just a heads up. They are two separate companies now with different leadership.
That doesn't help in the eg4 6500ex 48 inverter sundowning ( no longer making) of these units!!!

I'm in the same boat- my 6000ex died after 10 months. After reading all these complaints and the struggles of dealing with SS I just went and purchased a 6000xp from a local supplier who I've had zero issues with- and am now much happier. SS definitely tries to put the blame on you and not accept their initial units were pure junk. The XP is night and day difference. I was hoping for any resolution, even a 100$ store credit would have made me happy lol, but no... My advice- unless you live in close proximity to the company, stay the hell away from them.

Edit: I see we're already troubleshooting with you to find a solution here. If you'd like to reach out to me again, we can talk through what we can do to help make this easier for you! We're here to help, Bryg63!

You know, Jessica I give you respect! If only your technical group was on top of their game as you are with PR! Thank you for your attempts!

An Update - posting of the failure has seemed to sped up the service! I'm now in the process of returning the failed unit. Progress is progress... I'm actually just happy the wheels are turning!

They are slow but get it handled. I’m just glad I didn’t kill all my batteries and just two, I would have been screwed!

Soon I’m going to see if I can buy 6 spare BMS’s. I guess they don’t get ahold of many so don’t want to sell them in case they need to warranty some.

False hope ? I spoke with a service tech Agreed it was defective.I thought WOW after months of hangups, Person I need is not available etc...We are finally getting somewhere. Just have to wait for email from resolution specialist.

on to resolution specialist.

Resolutions says I must pay a restocking fee and shipping fees,. due to my failure to complete the troubleshooting process.

They want me to waste my time to re install a defective hazardous unit ? Sure, Mr. insurance processor. I knowingly installed a defective unit. Please cover my home damage... Signature Solar told me to do it...
