What do you think of these terminals?

Ordered EVE 230ah cells from Docan. They have threaded posts welded on with a square base, and are only welded on 2 sides. Some of them I can see light underneath, so they are not sitting flush. Two little welds isn't a lot of metal. Is it enough for 1C+ discharge rates?

I owned some Lishen 202ah cells with the same terminals - I sustained 1c testing with some heat, but well within reason and safe.

Just be careful when tightening down cable lugs on those posts. There are a few posts on the forum of terminals like yours that have come off.

Here's a couple better pictures where you can see that they are not sitting flush on the terminal.

I appreciate the votes of confidence, but in the end I decided I'm just not comfortable with it and will return them. I have ordered some new version grade A cells that have the double grub screw terminals.

I feel that is the best decision on your part because you'd never be "really" happy if you had even the slightest doubt in the back of your mind. And if you had tightened down teh busbars and did manage to break one loose, you really would be even angrier than you'd want to be, and at yourself too because you had doubts... so.... Just speakin from personal experience. ;-)

Yeah I agree. From that first picture of that post, there is no way I would accept that. Even from the second picture I would reject them. Any gap is bad.

That doesn’t look good at all, only real way to test is load it up an look for heat.

How do these compare to other vendors that have 230 Eve cells with welded studs?

Kind of glad my early 2022 230ah had threaded posts.
