I don't disagree, they certainly have had some models that were better than other models.Yeah that's why I didn't single out mpp solar and just said voltronics. Although mpp is not without issues either.
Personally I never liked the LVX 6048 set up, and it had very high idle consumption.
I have been watching for a 12k (real 12kW output) that can be paired, and handle 500-600v PV strings.
I have a place where the 6048's can be re-purposed if I can find a pair of higher capacity inverters to give me closer to 24kW max output.
But I am not prepared to drop $11k to get there. My system is off grid and I don't need a lot of grid interactive features (and the cost of these) in an inverter.
I have pondered the MPP 11kW (240v single phase) with the idea of a transformer to provide the 120v loads, which in my case are the minority of the loads by far. Still watching and seeing what comes out, I am in no hurry, everything works.
