Signature Solar disappointing service

Asymair95, I was going off of how long the issue had been in Tech. I just got the full scope of your issue a few minutes ago. You fell victim to an outdated process that we are striving to change. I know you had some very heated conversations with CS that went unreported. The issue is now in the hands of the right people and will be handled.

We dropped the ball here, I'm sorry so much of your time was wasted in dealing with this.
I've been here some time, I keep seeing a theme here when it comes to SS.

I've also ran a business for over 35 years, quite successfully. I don't run my business the way I see SS run theirs. I've eaten countless warranty problems out of pocket over the years. One year in less than 2 weeks I ate over 20 grand in warranties out of pocket as my warranty is sacred to me.

I don't compromise, the customer paid me for my product and service and they will get what they paid for.

What do you sell and can I order it online!(y)

I run a service business, local clientele. New customers refer to me as "I heard you are the guy".

It's Sunday and I'm actually working today because I took 5 days off for vacation last week and now I'm way behind. I would have retired already but my customer base would be lost without me. They comment all the time about what they will do if I do retire. But I'm only 55, I'd probably get bored if I retired.

There are far to many fanboys trying to defended a company that just dose not care. IF they did care they would simply make things right then move on. Yet they spend so much time replying to EVERY negative post here. That shows people that SS dose not care about the customer just what the masses think of them. SS may be a newer company but they have no excuse for the mistakes that they are making because others companies already made them. If they will not learn form your competitors or other companies that deal with shipping out products then they are not worth your money. They have ONE job to make customers happy by selling them good WORKING products. Mistakes will happen but they must do what ever it take to make it right not make excuses. If a customer has a bad experience it is there right and obligation to tell others. If not then companies could rip people off and nothing would ever happen to them. I will not be surprised if the problems with SS keep rolling in.

Try defending your fellow customers NOT a multi million dollar company, they can afford to fix F.ups the customer might not.
not defending nor a faboy of anyone..
just making simple observations

Just wanted to pass along my experience with Signature Solar so other customers don’t make the same mistake I did. I hate complaining about stuff like this online, but I feel my treatment was so egregious it warrants it.

The short story is, don’t accept damaged shipments from Signature Solar...unless you’re ok with using damaged equipment, and MAYBE getting a few bucks off of your order. If you want The damaged item replaced/returned, refuse the shipment. Otherwise, if you accept the shipment, and try to return it later, they will blow you off, and slow roll replacing your damaged item.

There is a long backstory to this incident, and I would be willing to share it here if forum members are interested in hearing it. Bottom line, I won’t be doing business with them anymore, nor will any of my family/friends/neighbors. This is not the way you treat a customer who just dropped $12k at your business.
After a couple of calls for a 61 code and constant beeping, I got instructions to essentially disconnect battery data and just run without it. This was after using the cable splitter as described in the Signature solar video on the topic. I was told that EG was working on the issue and that I would be notified when a fix was ready.
I have 2x 6500 and 6 EG 48 volt batteries. Even though I can't read data, the off grid system is running a mini-split A/C (240 volts and 24,000 BTU) as well as charging my Prius Prime.
Like Will I'm not concerned with minute to minute efficiencies but because I did not change any features beyond setting it up for split phase 240 power the beeping and error codes got annoying. I can't remember the changes we made but there were 2 or 3 inputs changed and the beautiful silence.

Yes you are right jberger, I will do better.

yes you attack another person directly by name and get away with it. you ability to do better is about zero
Wrong that was me agreeing with him that I was taking it to far. Stop trying to make up crap. My original was a response to you and I see you deleted it.
I edited it to let jberger know he was right, Ill be you know that and are trying to play the victim now.

I see the mods must like you as somehow you get to keep insulting. Yet the moment I say something everyone jumps on me and tell me I'm wrong. So double standards are even here now, soon people will be censored for having the wrong opinion.

i got jumped on as well. difference is I did not attack you, I simply made an open statement about people in general and you lost your wits.

It would seem more constructive if we all stick to facts and evidence, and avoid conjecture and speculations.

There is no need to insult, or incite negativity.

There is enough hate and negativity in the world, and we should be here to assist and help resolve real issues.

Bickering and hate, are a major waste of time and energy, and serves no purpose other than to distract from constructive problem solving.

Please avoid attacking people, and stick to discussing what is wrong, what is a potential solution, logic, rational reasoning.

Just another point of view for consideration!

I have detailed all my ups and downs with every company including SS. Signature has always made things right but I recommend to be patient and courteous with them. The majority of my calls have shown they want to help and correct any issues. I have had only one phone call was terribly handled, but that was only once. Sometimes it did take to long IMO but I was thanked by SS employees for always being kind and patient. Solar is new to me so I went in believing I would have some hurdles either self inflected, compatibility/product issues. If you give them the chance they will go as far as helping greatly with discounts to fix issues. I still will continue ordering from SS as they worked with me to build my system over the last two years.

EG4 and Signature solar are one in the same.
I have never seen a forum in America where users are blocked from talking about their customer experience with a company. So in your mind if people are paying for a product and what they receive does not work they should be banned from warning other forum members about being ripped off?
I bet you have. Almost every major social media forum/platform block its users from talking about their experience with 2-3 specific companies products. This happened heavily for the last 2 years. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok all did and currently do it.
