Chargeverter Availability? (Early 2024)

OK thanks... in my setup I cant swap out the LV6548 for the 6KXP until I have a Chargeverter-like device as I don't have a 240V input alternative to PV. hope the price bump isn't too much.
I just installed one a month ago and I was hoping to get two - I really don't want two different types. If it turns out to be more I'll sell you my V1 if you like. It's been awesome the month I've had it.

V2, $480 pre-order

what exactly are the improvements... looks like it supports some sort of BMS communication now..

RS485 comms and dry contact generator control by SOC or voltage.

I would've liked to see the ability for other devices to control the chargeverter on/off by dry contact. But I probably wasn't in the market for one anyway.

And I agree with @G00SE, huge color upgrade.

Yeah I will look for an old one too... I just need one intermittently in the winter to top up when using the Lux 6KXP, the single LV6548 was just fine direct.. anyone ditching their old ugly yellow V1 send me a note.
Keep an eye on the marketplace in this forum.
Oh, and you have to be quicker than me. lol

I'm lucky to have gotten mine from Current Connected when I did. Saved my bacon trying to get my dead batteries revived when I got back to the states.

I guess that the upside of the $80 price increase is that it should be easier to keep stock on the shelves.
For me $80 is nothing compared to what I have wasted. I purchased a $269. Magnum AGS-N and a regular Chargeverter and still have to get the rest of the Magnum BMK to run the AGS-N.

This is what I get for lack of proper research. But again when I purchased the Magnum system Eg4 was just a startup. If fact my set of LifePower4’s I had to preorder and wait 3 months.

Yes, the lack of knowledge can make for expensive lessons.
But, I'm not willing to pay 20% more (sale price), for additional features that I have no use for. It's not really a lesson learned, if you know that you are wasting money going into it.
But that's OK.
When the people who just have to have the latest new gadgets, buy them.
Hopefully, the marketplace will be flooded with great deals on the original.

There may be a fit for the new features in the charge inverter. For those that operate open loop the new charge inverter with direct communications to the batteries just might solve some issues. The ability to remote start a generator could also be a problem solver for some. The big question I would have is what communication protocol does the new charge inverter use and EG4 seems to be drifting towards the EG4/Narada protocol which would only work with some EG4 products.

Open loop means no communications with the batteries.
So, there are no issues to solve. Open loop has been the norm since the beginning. Closed loop communications is the new kid on the block. Being pushed by the manufacturers/vendors. Because It's limitations work to their benefits.
That's where all of the issues are. It's still a work in progress.

Every AIO has dry contacts for starting a generator.
So that feature is only helpful for people who are running separate device systems.

It will be compatible with EG4/ LuxPower equipment.
And whatever else uses the same protocol.
