Cheapest 48v 50ah battery I've found so far. $409.99 free shipping

I just ordered a 1 and a 2 pack. I paid like $30 more for the convenience I guess. I thought I saw presidents coupon was only good for two uses anyway so I wouldn’t be able to buy three singles

If the discount is significant, I'd create a bunch of burner eBay accounts and use it multiple times ✌🏻

I feel like eBay doesn’t allow brand new accounts to get those coupons but maybe I’m wrong. It’s been a long time since I was hard up enough to create burner accounts. That said, anyone interested in doing so could start seasoning several burner accounts today so they are ready to go next time

Surely most of us have four friends who use eBay. That's what friends are for.

For me the issue is the shipping to here at $150 each.

Mine should be arriving today. Anyone interested in seeing photos of the inside, or is ecoworthy already well known here? Sorry, I dont have any deep knowledge of this forum or its practices. Should I make a new thread?

We've seen pictures of the inside of the DC house pizza box 48V 50Ah I don't know if there's been confirmation that the eco worthys are the same internally

I would like to see the bus bar terminal situation personally

I have no way of proving this, but everything I've seen online indicates that DC House and EcoWorthy are the exact same company.
But that's just my opinion of what I've gathered, that's not been proven.

Photos look very similar to DC house but seems like there are some differences which could be chalked up to revisions

There was glue holding the epoxy cover which I didn’t want to remove in case it’s a warranty issue. Couldn’t get a great shot of the bms QR code either. Haven’t checked the battery qr codes… just preliminary

It looks better inside than I thought it would.
I’ll note that the one I opened does have some thin plastic sheet between cells.

The restraint is also plastic although I had hoped/assumed it would be metal to provide compression (actually maybe it’s just thin and bendy).

After looking at the spec cards I’m convinced it’s the same manufacture or they are super copying each other

They upped the cycle count to 4000 but for some reason it says 4p1s?

There seems to be sufficient space under the balancing screws but I’ve yet to pop off one of those little caps… what is the purpose of those bus bar caps only on the sides?

Another edit: I have no idea what to do with this barcode. It doesn’t decode and it doesn’t look like others I’ve seen online and the text serial is unknown… says it was manufactured in 2011? I don’t really have a high performance application so provenance isn’t terrible important but I’m curious… it seems I might be looking at the wrong code and the real one is hidden

Final edit trying not to crap up the thread:

The BMS is tp20s001 based on the QR code (JBD).

The second one I opened had no glue on the epoxy so I guess that was unintentional. It also had an extra boot hanging from the blue wire that I guess they forgot to remove

I cammed out the first case screw I tried to tighten with an electric screwdriver. Hand tightened after that (they removed fine... maybe I don't have the correct bit)

Overall, quality seems pretty good... all connections tight. Shipped at 3.3v per cell. Can't speak to the cells themselves as I'm a noob and haven't gotten a chance to charge them. Got a decent workout moving these things back and forth... I'm glad I didn't go with the 280a pack I was planning to build

Gonna lay on the heating pad for a bit get the back relaxed again. Weak core lol.
I feel ya!! I got a microdiscectomy January 2 and feel 'fully recovered' to what is probably normal for a 39yo. Not invincible but a lot less 'sensitive'. For me the secret password to get surgery (ie a permanent solution vs eternal 'pain management') was noticing and bringing up muscle weakness. My left leg was weaker than my right, but i didnt notice until i tried to stand on the toes of one foot at a time. So if you can find any uneven muscle strength that may be a shortcut to get some actual repairs done if thats what you need. As an auto mechanic the idea of just 'dancing around the issue' for eternity bugged the hell out of me. I like to bite the bullet and REALLY fix something rather than apply patch jobs over and over, but i get that the spine is a tricky area to work around. Im lucky my issue was finally diagnosable and surgically correctable.

To double down on being off topic.. what is that piece of equipment in the top right of your pic?

Yeah fortunately nothing wrong with me surgically.

It's my youngest son and his friends excavator.

I knew it!! I had an inkling from the height and look of that counterweight it was going to be some kind of antique dirt moving equipment that was right up my alley. 70s and 80s small tractors/equipment is the sweet spot for me so i LOVE that!

I love it!!! I have a Case garden tractor and a Ford CL-20 skid steer slightly smaller than that one as projects, along with a Kubota B6100 and B8200. B8200 has a backhoe but no mini-x over here yet.:) I love stuff like that! Thanks for indulging me.
