Seems MPP dropped a new inverter...a split phase 10KW

Ditto!
What is taking these guys so long?! They should be buying these units and reporting back - so I don't have to be the guinea pig!

If I was a big influencer on YouTube I could maybe get the units sooner for free. :ROFLMAO:

It certainly is interesting how there are promises of units coming out soon but never quite get released.

if the MPP was a 12 kW (output) I would try one. Two in parallel (24kW) would run both the shop and my home nicely.
And just like @Zwy I don't need a lot of features, just parallel, and comms with SA for control.

Simplicity when off grid is a good thing.

-why do you want two separate systems for the shop and house? I put everything (ESS, inverters) in the shop and ran buried AC power supply to the house, everything DC in one place?
Several reasons, one is loads. Plus I already committed on the house system and it works perfectly fine. I don't have room for a much larger system there. When I retire/semi retire, I wanted just a system for the house was the original plan. Utility company changed that with rate increases and I have the money to put a system in the shop so why not? It's fully able to be depreciated and written off.

Main reason is really loads. I may not even be able to power everything in the shop when I'm done.

I hear ya!
Funny I have been thinking like this too: get everything set up ready for semi-retirement LOL -( I don't even pretend I will retire anymore.)
A pair of 12kW output inverters is the same as a 100A 240 main panel - bit small maybe.
Four 12kW inverters seems like a lot of standby current losses.
Makes me consider separate SCC and Inverters, with the idea of turning some inverters off when not using the shop.

My other thought is using my current system to run the house (next door) and the shop 'full time loads' (furnance, lights water) like a critical loads panel, but have a completly separate pair of inverteres that are switched off when the shop is not running, to zero the idle current, but power them up for shop use to run the machines and big stuff in there only when needed. These can be just inverters, connected to the ESS, not AIO's. And since all the big stuff is 240v or VFD off the 240, the separate inverters could be single phase 240.

Meanwhile the tech keeps evolving and new products seem to be on the near horizon. I can wait, everything works. Like to see what comes onto the market next.

watts247 has another brand which looks like the same breed of hybrid inverter and lower idle consumption.
i have LV5048 which i started as and experiment 4 years ago and have been very satisfied with what i have but looking to push the system a bit more and that is when i started looking at hybrid and while the solarks and the kind are way too expensive to justify but these newer breeds looks essentially the same thing repackaged with different name.

AmenSolar with updates.

That's the new megarevo with touch screen.

for about $500 more than MPP 12k and this kind of testing video which answers almost all of the questions in this thread and from local source this jumps to the top of my list if and when i decide to add another inverter besides my old LV5048. not that i need that much capacity but the old one is working fine with house lights and some other loads which is about 2.5k max for now but want to add my 3 ton heat pump and some of electric floor heating circuits which will take it past 5k easily and with this kind of hybrid inverter i have the option to ac coupling with my existing grid tied system in future with a micro-grid setup.

It answered non of my questions

Even though it's a PowMr 😜....
That version looks like the best I've seen so far, also priced accordingly. Pretty cool stuff coming out!!!
