diy solar

4 MWh SRNE ASF48100U200-H 10kw.

Finally hit float today after however many months it's been. Am also very close to 1mw. Has been an incredible and flawless machine that suits my use case perfectly

1 random fault, 0 major issues.
I would not hesitate to order again or recommend it to family and friends.

I'd be over 3MWh solar if I didn't add the Victron to squeeze out more production in the winter and/or if I had more dump loads.

Fantastic news! what was the one fault? I have the same inverter but its only being used a charger right now.

Does it automatically restart, or does it have to be manually restart after error? Could be problematic in an unsupervised remote off grid location.

I didn't have to restart, it didn't restart. It just went away, and hasn't been back.
(I run open loop, if that makes a difference)

Master-slave chip SPI Communication failure.

Serial peripheral interface (SPI) is one of the most widely used interfaces between microcontroller and peripheral ICs such as sensors, ADCs, DACs, shift registers, SRAM, and others.

If I remember right. I restarted the inverter manually the first time. And it went away on its own the second time.

I suspect they won't be over achievers for very long... 8s2p would be a solid array, I think you would lose out on a few KWhs / day during optimal conditions... Could always just buy an HYP inverters to use as another MPPT and extra 5kw AC output...
Very nice !

I'm going to have to test if this can run a dump load by enabling ON GRd.
I'd leave the grid breaker off and add a resistive load to the grid panel.
I hope it will power the dump load when the batteries are full but I don't think it will work without sensing the grid.
Thoughts?

Just over 3.3MWh, still extremely happy.

Roof arrays are finally starting to perform nicely (MPPT2), ground mount is due for another slight adjustment.

Edit - sorry the screenshot was compressed so poorly.

SICK BRO!! My CA panels performing top notch once again. I'm at about 1 month suck....

Finally some excitement.
I can come confirm it does automatically restart after a shutdown, I can't tell exactly what caused the shutdown but am betting the well pump spike while washer was agitating. I'm pretty sure it was agitating when things got quiet
It had already rebooted by the time I got downstairs, I did hear the pressure switch for the well pump click shortly after I got downstairs.
.
Loads were pretty balanced, ~2500W per leg +/- 300W.
Oil radiator on high
Water distiller
Steam generator
Induction cooktop on high
Mini split in heating mode
Washing machine / well pump
The rest of the house, lights ceiling fans, TV, etc.

Pretty much identical loads were running earlier today but the induction cook top wasn't on high, only medium.

Anyway it's trucking along just fine, kinda irritated I didn't catch any fault codes.
