Midnite Solar Announced their new 10kw AIO at Intersolar Today

While Victron equipment doesn't have a specific UL listing, it is international compliant, which is as good as a UL listing, given that UL covers EN-IEC-60335 on their website. Many countries have stricter electrical requirements than the US.
Interesting, can you teach me how to use this to pass UL1741 requirement, which to my understanding is specifically called for in UL9540/International residential code?

Those three standards you listed are very generic electrical ones.

Also Victron MPPTs don't have AFCI regardless of the certifications you cited, right?

Victron 48 5000s are not UL listed last I checked, and Rosie’s can mind meld with fully UL compliant MPPTs.

Victron MPPTs haven’t kept up in that department.

With a 9540v3 DC ESS like that new one released at the beginning of the month you can have a fully code compliant MidNite install in all off grid conditions. With victron you would only be able to do that with a ground mount to bypass the missing AFCI capability
I don't have ul requirement that you do so my options for inverters are more wide open and even if they weren't Rosie isn't an inverter that I would consider.

There are a lot of people who say they "wouldn't hesitate to buy a Rosie" but I didn't see any actually buying them

Here's a thread that got no attention.

The Blue Solar and Smart Solar 100-150 MPPT's do have UL1741 certification

Is that the parallel 18Kpv putting out 400V thread? I haven't seen an update and tried searching for it but the search function is not working.

Almost as if it needs to be buried?
I also logged on to see an update on that thread. Same results, cannot find it, but your post showed up when I searched "18Kpv 400V"

It's not really clear yet, but I suspect the guys at Midnite have chosen their path forward with The One and are in the process of burning their bridges behind them (so to speak). I was on their website today and noticed that their DIY line of inverters are no longer available. Once The One get out to market I think it will be tough to sell many Rosie+backplate+wiring box+SSC combos. The Rosie setup will cost significantly more with less features. Time will tell of course, but if you undercut the pricing of your other models and drop the low end ones...

I thought this was because selling that tier of imported rebadge was not a good biz for them. There are threads covering this.

Yes, I’m confused by this.

Maybe Rosie has a niche in off grid and in more modular setups; AIO is anathema to trying to componentize. People are still buying Victron, why can’t they cross shop a MultiPlus 3000 stack with a Rosie?

We are taking pre-orders for The One. Inventory is in the US and on the way to me, in a perfect world we could possibly get some of the first units out near the end of next week, but I would rather under-promise and over-deliver so our site says 6/14. We have a lot of mail list followers, so I expect this first batch will be gone very quickly, then the second batch is following a couple weeks behind.

For me, the 7kW split phase of a Rosie is sufficient. I already have batteries and SCCs. epanels and backing plate are nice to haves for seamless look but I can handle that myself

$3300 for the Rosie. Built in Washington. I may need a mngp2 control panel to control unless I can do it via an app? I think for those who are off grid the Rosie+Barcelona/hawkes bay sccs are still a solid option.

$2869 from Stellavolta right now 😁

Absolutely! A Rosie + Hawks bay 120 with their respective E-panels is the quintessence of life for an off gridder! All in you'd be $6,600 on that combo, not bad at all. I think people do appreciate the fact these are USA built.

Current Connected priced the Midnite AIO at $5150, only $250 more than the EG4 18K

Yeah the One is def targeted at the 18kPV (and the solark 15). I'm glad they've got two lines, the import AIO, and the domestic seperates. Something for everybody.

Thinking some of us have a fair idea what is going on.

Anyhow, glad to see this unit priced competitively with the other comparable options. Should be a solid contender with rock solid support.

Sounds good Dexter. Is there a downloadable form of their UL1741SB certificate? I need it (as my AHJ requires a copy with the permit application) and I suspect some others will too...

Dexter,

Any news on the batteries that Midnite mentioned at one point?

Server Rack Style or?

Just noticed the manual is posted on CC page. Has anyone gone through it yet and picked out some interesting tidbits?

(and maybe there should be a separate post-release thread, since this one is 58 pages already)

Yeah, I hear you. For those who already have their CC's, breakers and the like, putting a Rosie (or two) in may make sense. But if you are starting from scratch, or replacing all your old "stuff", to get close to the CC capacity, wattage, and other features of The One will cost significantly more. Assuming they both share Midnite's quality level (which I think is what most here believe), then it comes down to features, price and where the box is assembled...
