Ahh ok thanksAppears to be depending what your low voltage / soc setpoint is at.
lol no but I bet is impossibleA word of caution about purchasing raw cells, it's not an uncommon story to hear someone bought 'grade a' cells only to have received bloated, or less than ideal performing cells. 18650 has a decent reputation on this site, but I have a few less than stellar cells from them that I am now in the process of replacing.
Have you ever tried to ship a lithium battery back to China?
A/C, 2 fridges, HWH, and washer = high loadsit barely keep up with just the ac, 2 refrigerator, water heater and washer.
"adding a 3rd battery soon" so currently you are running all these loads on only 2. ie 10kWh storage ESS.And that is only running from 11:00 am batteries are charged to 6 pm batteries are dead. I am adding a 3rd battery soon for a total of 15.36 kWh.
no enough incoming PV by the sounds of it, how many kW of PV do you have in your set up?. today is 11:53 am batteries are only at 50% charge systems is running solar and battery but not charging,
It doesn't need to be a separate MPTT - unless your inverter(s) are at max input already, then an additional input makes sense - not to "charge the batteries at all times" but to just have more PV input.I guess not enough power to do all three?. Question can I add a second mppt with 6 - 315 watts panels just to charge the batteries at all times. I have 6 new panels I purchased before I went with a larger system will just have to by a mppt let me know.
Unless there is anything wrong with your current pack(s), likely you just need More packs.Or if their is a better battery pack.
Good evening everyone! No shade on solar, battery do charge 100% just some days it takes longer. And by 6pm battery are at 25% sence the panels are not facing west to get the last sun. I thought of adding 6 more panels going west I just don’t know if the inverter will have room. Here is the specs for the inverter, my 28 solar panels specs. My battery pack specs and the 6 panels specs that I am trying to add. Let me know if I can add it to the inverter or if I need to get a second mppt for the batteries.A/C, 2 fridges, HWH, and washer = high loads

how much is the load per day? a typical home would use 30kWh. ie 3x the storage you had before the third battery pack.

does the PV get shade during part of the day?

If you reduce the loads for a day, does the PV charge the batteries to 100% ?
What are the settings you are using for the max bulk and float voltage on the batteries as they charge?
That would be the simplest solution.Could add a separate charge controller for the 6 extra panels.
LolThat would be the simplest solution.
I added a Victron last winter but it wasn't enough to satisfy the addiction so I bought 2 more AIOs
My name is Aaron and I have a problem, I can't get enough power.
Wow! That's a slamming deal?!?! I think it's cheaper then can be built for??Any inputs on this power wall pack
Never heard of them.Any inputs on this power wall pack
It's not a terrible deal for prebuilt, depending freight costs. Last night I ordered 16 280Ah cells and a 200A BMS for $1393.80 shipped to my door.Wow! That's a slamming deal?!?! I think it's cheaper then can be built for??
Damn, I gotta stop reading these posts...Don't Spend Any Money...Last night I ordered 16 280Ah cells and a 200A BMS for $1393.80 shipped to my door.
Morning is hard not to spend money, but as the power company keeps going up. Have to get more batteries. I got my power bill yesterday I used 1569 kWh last years billing cycle for cost of $193. After all the feeds they charged. This year billing cycle for the month I used 1134 kWh with the solar system and my bill is $196,69. You would think my bill will be down but it went up.Damn, I gotta stop reading these posts...Don't Spend Any Money...![]()
I think I am going to order the power pack just to get me going for now. Later on i can start building new packs.Never heard of them.

Morning how was your purchase thru Ali express. Any scams or anything the power pack I am purchasing is from china not sure how legit they are. Here is the information. But it will not let me do PayPal. Sounds like a scam.I bought mine on AliExpress. Alibaba is also an option, so long as you don't mind waiting for the slow boat shipping (approx. 60 days or so)... but remember that the quality will vary greatly between different vendors on these platforms, so your milage will vary.
Contact paypal directly regarding this transaction, may have been Identified as suspicious for one reason or another... I'd verify with them.Morning how was your purchase thru Ali express. LOL...I went with an older style of temp fix, courtesy of Wile E. Coyote... didn't have an anvil handy but a small vise works just as well....

PLEASE REMEMBER !!! This is only a temporary, testing stage only, setup while I work out the kinks in my setup and settings.
A proper battery rack for up to 4 packs is already being put together as time, money and life allow.
Waiting for a call from a few local welding companies to see if anyone would be willing to weld this baby back on. So far, as soon as they hear Lithium Ion battery, the answer has immediately been "HELL NO!"
