6 MWh SRNE ASF48100U200-H 10kw.

What is this ???
Most likely a 3 pole double throw ahead of the critical loads panel.

We had all that discussion long ago. It was myself, Filter Guy, I think Tim got involved at some point and a few others. If neutral is pass thru and the inverter bonds N-G, then a 3 pole is required to prevent objectionable current on G.

I prefer the 3 pole double throw and have one installed. It allows me to totally isolate the solar system from the loads panels and grid. I also have one inverter of the pair that bonds N-G.

If the inverter is common neutral and bonds N-G, then a 3 pole would be required also. Only if it is common neutral and inverter does not bond N-G can a 2 pole transfer switch be used- as long as there isn't a N-G bond in the loads panel. If there is a N-G bond in the loads panel and common neutral in the inverter, then a 3 pole would be required due to N-G bond at the service entrance from grid.

Haha so I did. The funniest thing about that thread was saying that the 6048 was a decent bit of kit, it didn't age well LOL

It does look like a promising unit at a great price point but I'll stick with my 10kwAC 11kwPV SRNE with 2 mppt's.
Hey i also ordered one based on your comments here. Really seems to suit my needs perfectly. Do you have any noise data? like even a phone measurement in db would be helpful. The manual also mentions using ferrules, and it's hard to tell but I dont think you are. Any issues there? Last question. What is the most amperage you've pulled from the battery? manual says 92% efficiency there so i am just a little curious. This seems like a cool little unit and thanks for teaching me about it

I don't have any. I'll see what I can come up with. I'd compare it to a box fan on high when it's at full load.

No issues. I'll have to double check the manual. Iirc I have ferrules on 1 mppt and none on the other (temp setup until I finish all the wiring and new battery bank).

I've seen around 150a max so far from the batteries. I try to run my heavy loads (dryer) when the sun is shining.

No problem, glad to help.

@42OhmsPA

Have you ever tried making setting 34 "on grid"? Does it actually backfeed the grid if this is turned on?

I'm trying to wait on the stackable one.
That's the only thing about it that makes me hesitant, but I think I am going to follow through with ordering it anyway.
Yes. That is the one I bought as well

Edit: 2 days ago a buddy called me and said the powmr link on Amazon was way cheaper than the Sungold link I sent him.
Yesterday he ordered the powmr version for 1512 delivered to his door

Goose everything cool with SPH10K48SP so far? I will say that sungold has emailed me back the upcoming night of everytime I've emailed them, which may lead me to buying the sungold anyway for the extra couple hundred bucks and maybe some level of support or warranty?

I've heard not to bank on that..

Noticed today on my Amazon They've got a 5k PowMr for 665 shipped. Wow, lol.

I’ve not yet gotten mine installed. I did unbox it and take some pics.
One thing to caution on the 5k units is that you will need 2 to utilize split phase. Something with their advertising seems misleading that the one 5k provides split phase, which, unless they’ve released another in the past 10 days, doesn’t exist
Allegedly the 10k is similar to 2 of the 5kw in one box

I’ve not heard historically great reviews on Sungold support. I almost got the powmr simply due to ease of returns/money back if it fails. I’m just stubborn and stupid and wanted a blue box lmao.

I still went this route because 10kw for under 2 grand is silly cheap. I came to have the mindset that I know the voltronics won’t work for me. I don’t know if this will over the long term, but it has a chance, and I didn’t consider the voltronics to even have a chance.
I hope it doesn’t turn to be an exercise of wasted money, and I don’t perceive it will be, but only time will tell

Nice, my loads are around 6kwh typically on peaks do you think I should go ahead and do the 10k for a couple hundred more I was going to go cheaper for the 8k. lmao funny you'd say I like the blue.. I also like the blue, I've got my ATS plugs all in blue and my subpanel labels blue and I'm accenting everything in blue on board so it looks cool lol. I plan to order within the week. Thanks for sharing your info thus far

I look at the 200 dollar price difference as a bit of peace of mind.
Typically, when running electronics close to capacity, they run hotter. If you had 2k watts additional overhead then you may only ever run the inverter at 60%. There may be the penalty of higher idle wattage, how much I’m not entirely sure

Edit:like you mentioned above, thus far Sungold has replied to my every inquiry within 18 hours.

Dryer was running while working on new battery racks. Not sure if I can upload large zip files. Fan noise at ~6kw and no fan noise.

Fail. I'll try to trim them...

Edit - trying again. Honestly the phone makes it sound louder than it is, so much nicer than the TP6048.
Still to large, fail 2

Final edit @nickj I put some videos in a zip for you.

And no fan.
Ambient noise would have been a small fan to circulate air and I can't remember if the dehumidifier was running.

No, I have no plans to. I'm not permitted to sell back and want no part of it.
I'm betting it would if enabled.

Sgp was quick to reply to all my questions before I ordered the TP6048, a few months after they sent me an email offering another year on the warranty if I provided a 5 star review on amazon.... I told them no way unless they could resolve the light flickering issue when the washer would agitate.... They wanted multiple videos with the washer running and lights flickering along with scrolling through all menu settings of the inverter.... I gave up and was irritated with the review fishing tactic.

I know @Crowz had excellent support from sgp when a component failed.

I wish the sampling rate were faster... That 8.2kw peak was the well pump kicking on while the washer and dryer were running.
All the small peaks after the first dryer cycle are the washing machine running while I made dozens of cuts with the miter saw.
The videos above were taken during the 2nd dryer cycle.
