Inaccurate temperature readings - Solar Assistant vs EG4 LL BMS Screen

Has anyone else had this issue? I have 3 EG4 LL 48V batteries. They were reading -3c, 04c, and -3c. When I checked Solar Assistant, they read 39.2F, 41F, and 44.6F. Any thoughts on why the difference?? The SOC percentages on the batteries and Solar Assistant were the same and correct.

SOC inconsistent and not close to each battery

I finally got my EG4-LL v2 battery installed on my system and it seems to be working well. However, now my SOC's are extremely different across all 3 batteries. Here is a screen shot from Solar Assistant. Pack 1 is the v2 battery and packs 2 and 3 are v1 batteries. The SOC's did seem fairly...

Battery SOC's - How far off is okay?

I have one V2 EG4-LL battery and two of the V1's in parallel. How close should all 3 batteries be for the SOC's?? Currently the batter closest to the inverter (LV6548) is at 71 SOC. Next battery is at 76 SOC. Last battery is at 81 SOC. I know the first battery can be lower because it is...

    EG4 Chargeverter 5000 Not Charging

Last spring I installed the EG4 Chargeverter 5000 on my system which consists of an LV6548 and 2 EG4-LL 48v 100a batteries. It worked fine the one time I used it in the spring, but now it doesn't want to charge. I have it hooked into my Honda 2200i generator using the 30amp plug. I've tried...

    Solar Assistant and EG4 Batteries

I just got off the phone with signature solar tech support who just wanted me to know that solar assistant has been shown to have issues with the eg4 batteries and burning out the BMS circuit boards. Has anyone else heard of this or had this issue happen to them? I did find the thread below...

Need some wisdom here. I've been getting conflicting information from Signature Solar. I have 2 of the EG4-LL 48v 100ah batteries v1 and considering adding a third one but can't find V1 batteries. Been told I have to upgrade my firmware in the 2 I have in order to add a V2 battery. Then...

    Crackling noise from radio.....LV6548

Something weird has been happening lately. I have an LV6548 powering my cabin. I have a radio plugged in and keep getting a crackling noise in the speaker. It goes away as soon as I unplug it from the wall socket and run it on battery. So, I'm guessing it has something to do with the power...

Splitting 2 PV Arrays into one feed to inverter

Well as luck would have it, my first winter with my new 2 solar arrays showed that my sun calculations were slightly off. The second array gets most of the sun while the first array gets next to none due to my neighbor's trees and the angle of the sun. They both get plenty of sun in spring and...

LV6548 Off-Grid System Finally Fully Functional

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me over the last year or so and answered all of my questions. If not for Will's videos and website, I never would have been able to do this. I finally got my entire system working now. Far from perfect. Still have work to do. Especially with...

    Ground mount ideas?

I've been researching ways to ground mount my panels and came across this adjustable system. Brad came up with a unique and what seems to be great idea: https://youtu.be/gHZCTBCteW0 The ability to have panels adjust/move would help me a lot since my area is surrounded by woods that I don't...

    EG4 battery terminals 4/0 lugs

Does anyone have a picture or description of how to use a 4/0 wire lug on the EG4 battery terminals? The lugs are too big to fit. Filing down the lugs is making them to thin. Not keen on putting a bus bar extension on the terminal unless I figure out a way to cover and protect it from shorting...

Seeking advice if this wiring is correct for LV6548 off-grid w/generator and sub-panel from main panel

Looking to make sure I am wiring my LV6548 correctly. Will be totally off-grid. Will have a generator going into the AC input to the LV6548. AC output is going to go to a breaker panel next to the LV6548. The plan is to later add a second LV6548 for 240 volt to operate a well pump, but that will...

Charge with generator when lacking solar.

I have a small 12 volt setup to just run a small refrigerator and it has been working very well so far. LV6548 or Growatt 48V 6000T?

I was pretty much set on getting the LV6548, but have read some recent posts and have concerns about the maximum PV input at 18A. 6k is a little bit overkill for my off-grid cabin, but figured better to go bigger. I would probably only need 120 and not 240. My plan is to go 48V with Battle...
