thank you for the documentation and photos
good luck with the build!

Is that a DIY box, or available commercially? Nice build. I like that you isolated every cell. Looks like a great fit.Mine arrived about 2.5 months to Nigeria, all well packed including the custom box for the batteries. I am really pleased with this purchase and as always @Amy was super helpful although the transaction.

Very nice! Looks a bit like the Seplos 6.9KW Mason's I bought, but those are only 135H and 100amp BMS.yes it is. This was custom made by @Amy Wan (Luyuan) for my 16s setup and SEPLOS BMS. This picture (couldn't get a better as I have been busy) was before it was shipped and looking from the front, the cut out is where my SEPLOS BMS will fit into. Unfortunately, my BMS is part of the faulty batch and I will have to wait till they send me a replacement.

if they can carry 5 - 8 120 kg + storage array's, they can certainly carry these boxesCan't tell as am yet to figure out the mount to use. But, can the server racks carry this kind of weight ?

Funny. Storage arrays is what I do, and yes, they can get heavy!if they can carry 5 - 8 120 kg + storage array's, they can certainly carry these boxes
Good server racks also have swing out arms so you can slide a server out on the rails without the rack toppling over.Funny. Storage arrays is what I do, and yes, they can get heavy!
I had a customer in a NY datacenter with raised floor tiles, and where their arrays were sitting, the concrete in the building itself cracked. They had to prop up the floors while adding steel beams to increase the load bearing potention. So the storage racks were stronger than the building.Good server racks also have swing out arms so you can slide a server out on the rails without the rack toppling over.
20 to 60 of the 3.5 inch drives with a power supply, rails, and a case to support them is too heavy to lift. Standard practice is to install the chassis in the rack, then install the drives. Larger data centers have lift devices.
as do iFunny. Storage arrays is what I do, and yes, they can get heavy!
lol.. seems there are quite a few "it nerds" here ;-)And as I sometimes do... More into networking, but our old Cisco 6500 routers are just as heavy
For a 19" setup, even with a 80cm widht cabinet, the box should still be within the 19" if you want to be able to remove it (or put it on sliders) without having to take half the cabinet apart.
There are also 21" racks, mainly used for telecom equipment, but those aren't as common and thus harder to get. (Here in NL some fiber network operators use those for their equipment, like Reggefiber and DeltaFiber).
Yeah, us nerds need to stick together so we dont get our asses kicked. My background goes back to Digital Equipment Corp and Sun Microsystems. Two awesome companies that helped start it all, but lost their way.lol.. seems there are quite a few "it nerds" here ;-)
btw, i am more of the juniper clan ;-)
i have a standard full dept 19" server rack here, so it would need to fit in that...
it would clean up thing really nicely though
zfs still rules , eventhough it was bought by the antichrist himselfYeah, us nerds need to stick together so we dont get our asses kicked. My background goes back to Digital Equipment Corp and Sun Microsystems. Two awesome companies that helped start it all, but lost their way.
My hope is Tesla starts to innovate in battery technology, and brings mining and manufacturing back to western society.
Funny! I had opportunity to purchase both DEC and SUN stuff over the years for my contracts. Along the way I ended up buying stock in both companies, which of course didn't end well. ?Yeah, us nerds need to stick together so we dont get our asses kicked.
