Don't forget to increase your insurance limits after your solar system install

After we completed our solar system install in May I reached out to our RV insurance carrier to inquire about increasing the limits of our policy. Since it qualifies as a modification to our RV we were required to send in our original purchase agreement and the receipts from the solar install. Our policy was repriced and we paid an additional $170 premium for the new coverages.

With many systems costing a pretty penny it's important to make sure you are fully covered in the event of a total loss.

You could possibly ask for a quote from a competitor.
Insurances love to exaggerate the cost of addenda once you are in a contract. They think you will not quit and can make the easy dollar.
