I am not sure what went wrong with my electric system in the RV today and need your advice. I have a 2000w Renogy Inverter and using a WindyNation 200 AMP ANL main fuse to connect to the batteries(200 Amp hour). This afternoon, when I test the air condition, I was drawing about 117 AMP from the battery. 15 minutes later, I start smelling burning plastic, and my fuse folder and the fuse are melted. See pictures below. I am using 2AWG gauge wires and the distance between the inverter and battery is 2 ft. The air condition is 13,5000 BTU and did not stop running when this happened. The inverter feels hot but did not stop either. Any idea? I follow this design https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/the-classic-400-watt-rvs-vans-buses.html. The outside temperature is about 85 F and I parked under the shade so maybe 80 F inside.
