New offgrid System

$0.217/w DIY vs. $0.304/w Sinclair.
Only 8 cents difference per watt, I'd go Sinclair. Many reasons, others members have mentioned some. Paint, hardware, mounting rails are the biggest items. How much wire and gas did you use, wear on cutting blades, the list can go on. Just the cost of the steel is not the actual cost. I've run the numbers a few times comparing to the Sinclair and Sinclair wins. The only time I might consider building my own would be if I had material laying around I didn't have much money sunk into it and I wanted a custom application.

One issue for me is time. In summer, I earn over $100/hour many times working 100 hour weeks. Usually in winter I get some time for my own projects nights and weekends. This year it appears that time will be very limited. I need a mount I can get up with the time I have available.
