I know. These have been around for about 6 years but thecapabilities and modes have evolved.
I think it was being used for chiltrix reverse cycle chillers with solar capability from hot spot energy. Then water heating elements, then other ac units and appliances without variable drive dc motoors, then with batteries and parallel ac grid or inverter support on the line!

They come in common voltages and forms. Ill be ordering two of these soon to drive a dehumidifier and water heater.

Ordering from who? They drive you to fill out a form to find qualified installers at their website. How is somebody supposed to experiment this way?
Also been waiting for Enphase IQ8, but that will be the same situation.
