SHOW ME YOUR MEGAWATTS!

Off-grid w/grid assist, 13kw PV array, 121kwh battery, and 2 x 12,000w inverters in Southern Oregon....

Since 2018...
- Have produced.... 70MWh PV which has yielded 59MWh from the inverters over 1,594 charge/discharge cycles.
- Maintenance = 1 x Inverter and 3 x ATS replacements so far.

Solar really works! and the operation/maintenance is not that bad.

What are you doing for maintenance? 99.8% of my maintenance time is spent yakking on these forums ; -)
The other 0.2% is looking into anything I got an email on (my system sends me emails if it thinks anything is off).

Just my one fronius string inverter (that I moved along from my previous location)
When I moved into this house in 2016, there wasn't any solar.
So the "to grid" reading of the smart meter was 0, and there was already a reading on the usage part up to that point: 39735 kWh
Currently my smart meter reads:
From grid: 79516 kWh
To grid: 73884 kWh
In a few months my meter will have more on the "to grid" indication then on the "from grid"

Delta in 7 years:
From grid: 39781 kWh
To grid: 73884 kWh this is just what I exported in 7 years (technically 6.5). It had to generate a lot more for that ;-)

On my MotorHome I have generated 1.783Mw. We full-time.
Started with 800w array, added another 400w, reciently overpanel it to 600w, so we have 1400w of panels and 1140w of SCC throughput.

Maint Issues:
1) I use 4 x Progressive ATSs like this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VAWNVK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title

in my overall system. 2 of them went bad at year 4 (~3,000 switchovers) where the magnet/relay started 'sticking' and wouldn't close the contacts and had to replace them. I also had one of my Go-Power 120v@30a ATSs wiring melt - maybe bad twist nut connection.

2) One of my AIMS 12,000w inverters, with 4yrs / 25,000hrs of operation started putting out spurious voltages - and AIMS cannot supply any replacement boards. Had to pull it and replace it - trying a SUNGOLDPOWER 12,000w instead.

3) A butt-joint in a connection box installed by the original electrician burned up causing bad connection / weird things to happen for a few days. Had to find / fix.

This is what it looked like before burning up

4) Had a cheap relay I use to turn the inverters on/off by voltage 'stick' at year 4 and had to replace. Similar to the ATSs - no obvious failure it's just that the mechanical rocker started sticking for some reason.
