Amy has negotiated direct supply contracts with EVE, and others, with EVE supplying bulk cells (cheaper ones) and Manufacturing
She would require approval from EVE to post a copy of the contract. Pricing, minimum order quantities, etc are considered confidential and proprietary information.Amy should post a copy of this direct contract with EVE, I know they require a monthly minimum order like 4000 pcs or so.
I agree with the comments of Steve_S. That's why I ordered them at Luyuan. Indeed I've bought them as grade A with 118usd price. The 2021 version of the EVE cells don't have tapped holes. There are welded studs on it. And yes: I trust Amy because many people on this forum ordered cells from here. She has good reviews. She also ansewerd my questions well. Without trust you can't buy anything from China.

I'm not sure about the February 2021 version from Eve, but certainly prior to this, Eve shipped their cells without any studs, tapped holes, just a blank flat terminal. I assume if you paid extra Eve would configure them differently, but any tapped terminals were likely done by a third party after they were shipped from the factory. Eve may offer the studs already installed from the factory now, I don't know. Amy could probably answer. In the past, some were tapped crooked, and those certainly weren't done by Eve.Hi. I'm looking at EVE cells on:

From the pictures, the cells Have tapped holes. Going by your post they cannot be 2021 cells . They are advertised as, Grade A, February 2021 EVE cells.. What do you think?

As an FYI for new members, EVERY SINGLE VENDOR says their cells are "Grade A", tested and matched. Amy is the only vendor I know that actually sells them (but of course they cost more). $900 for 4 cells, even though shipped from the USA is NOT a good price, and I would doubt they are anything other than commodity cells.
Tested and matched from most vendors means they used a meter (the manual for it states not accurate above 100 AH) and "matched" IR and voltage readings AT THAT INSTANCE IN TIME. They didn't do a capacity test, they did pretty much what you can do by ordering the same meter for $70.
I hope some other vendors out there offer true matched cells, but Amy is the only one I know that does, and when she ships she will send you a link to download the test reports. This will be sent AFTER you place the order, because Eve sends them when they leave their factory, not before. The ones (very few) that I've seen all seem to be in the 289 AH range.
Pressed the "Post button" too soon. Sorry!. Thanks Steve_S. There's a lot of reading there. Will have to read it again. Beginning to wonder what I'm letting myself in for ! There sure is a wealth of information here. I first have to master posting on this pr any forum.?@Lorcan check out this posting from my signature.

STATUS of ESS/Storage Cells being purchased. (commodity cells)
Introduction: I posted this into a response and felt that this should have its own thread as a point of clarification. There has been much debate, discusion and even theories, conjecture & postulation. All of this creates confusion due to many perceived points, real or otherwise. This is by...diysolarforum.com
Actually, a lot of people owe Steve a thank you, and don't even know it. When Amy still worked at Xuba, he suggested taking pictures of the cells with your name on them, and videos measuring cells voltages and IR. Soon it seems like every vendor copied that. When she started her own company, Steve talked her into getting in touch with Eve for real grade A cells, etc. Steve was one of the first to order the Eve 280AH cells as well. I know thanks to his reports, that's why I ordered them. She also sells commodity cells, but just like everyone else, when the supply is low, she can't get them either. The real grade A are always in stock. Thanks Steve_S. There's a lot of reading there. Will have to read it again. Beginning to wonder what I'm letting myself in for ! My plan is to build a 4S 12v 280Ah Battery assembly
Hopefully not too complicated. Amy seems the way to go for the cells. Then to choose the most suitable BMS.
Thanks again.
