REPT 280Ah grade B from 18650Batterystore test result

post pics

also how do you like the car?
Pics of batts in 4pk boxes and BMSs in non-descript boxes with random other part boxes laying around? These boxes are as plain and bland as any other :D

The MME is, well it's the MME. Most vids on the GTPE are what it is. I beat on it pretty good, it doesn't complain. 18650 is half a mile from an EA station and I've got loads of free charging so it was convenient. I prefer to take the F150 hybrid on longer trips. The PE's seat is quite form fitting, the F150 is like a driving a lounger, but with nearly 700ftlbs of torque.

This is interesting I would love to see like a shootout of ganfeng vs catl vs rept grade B battle with some testing.

Grade A is expected to cover the specs, grade B is expected not to. There is no guarantee that two different grade B batches would show the same results.

Are you sure about that? They seem to have arrived in this country and then been shipped out to customers way too quick for them to be able to test them individually. I have a cell or 2 that like to run high during charge and the BMS cuts off. I am not getting the impression that they are well matched sets of 4/8/16.
My set isnt matched well at all. I have one cell that cuts the bms off at 2.5 while the rest are still at 3.1. Charged up and tested by itself and only got 278.
Which to be fair my cheap chinese tester might be off by 2ah.

Tried to contact 18650 about helping with it. They dont answer emails or the chat box on their site and phone calls are just me ending up being put on hold until I cant waste anymore time.

Figure I will just deal with it and not buy from them again.
I know my tester could be off that much, I know I bought "b" cells. In my emails I wasnt demanding a full refund or a free exchange. I told them I would pay shipping and even the majority of the price for a replacement cell if they could just let me exchange it for one more closely matched the test stickers on my other 3.
They never answer back :(

What did your stickers say on the cell?
3 of them are between 294 -296 ah, the other (and cell that tested 278) was tested at 289ah according to its sticker.
The other three tested at 284-285 with my little chinese dl24p fan tester.

I ordered 8 "304AH" cells from them on Friday.

Thought they did same day shipping? No word yet. We'll see.

Update

In case you have been following the docan catl 280 thread, looks like they are 302 CATL cells Docan is selling as 280, has not confirmed yet but nvbt ordered some 280, and they accidentally snuck in a 302! This one has the original QR CODE still on it

anyway, he is going to test it soon but if does the same tests as the other "CATL 280" docan is selling then the jig is up as far as I'm concerned and the REPT 280 Grade B from 18650 become the current champ for decent grade B cells.

Mine is all complete. Thanks for all the help in this forum (especially @Alkaline) I built my first battery and really happy with how it turned out.

Dang it, 18650 is doing some BS with the shipping on the grade B cells, its now $579 for 16 grade B cells but only $158 for 16x 280K grade A.

Why 18650?? why???:(

Must just be certain cells, 16 of the 304's is only $148, but 16 of the genfang is $579

I just check to see how much to ship 4 280Ah Ganfeng to Cali, it is is $202!
When I ordered the 4 REPT 280Ah in December, the shipping was only $63, man! I wonder what is going on here with 18650.

I just checked. I paid $1184.00 for the grade b 304's shipped to wa state.

About $13.00 per cell for shipping? I think the cells were $135.00 each.

Welds on the studs look good.

Well why would anyone buy the grade A 280K when the REPT give more AH for less money... I suppose they figured better jack up the shipping price. Looks like they lowered the 280K to just 150/cell, but still 280K has its own issues.

I assume for the possibility of greater longevity? I have been looking at the 304's (Grade B) and the 280 A's and deciding which I want to go with for longevity purposes.

Grade A 304 is gives proper capacity and life for all intensive purposes is good enough. 280K even with test report will say 293, but when you test you will barely get like 279, this is even cells made in October 2022.

Avoid 280K grade A or B, plus they all appear more swollen then typical cells.

I wonder if they will carry grade A REPT or grade A CALB cells that would be interesting.

Do we need top grade cells for solar? Isn't that more for electric cars that will see high cycling and quick charge rates such as during regenerative braking and quick charging?

Battery neophyte here....
