I also made several breakout boxes. The labels indicate which pins on the jack are connected. Master has all 8.
Inside all wires of same color are connected together, soldered and then insulated. I can use a regular cat5 cable for testing.
In additon you can "listen in" on the data/communications on the bus. I have several with different jack configurations.
