Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

Some Smurf porn: Three Quattro 15kVAs with 80kWh of Pytes rack mount batteries for EV charging, they did a custom climate controlled cabinet for the batteries.

Top shelf stuff... over 18s only..

Putting replaceable fuses on all of the charge controllers would seem pretty user friendly. Or at least not foaming them together.
And the common complaint that the wiring bus is weak and under-sized. But these exceptions mostly prove the point. You have to look across a lot of product line to find imperfections.

Blue is my favorite color.
And Victron is quality stuff.
If it weren't for the price, my whole system would be Blue.
But when you are building a large system. Savings are compounded exponentially.
Yep. There are niches where it's just not affordable for me. Looking for a stand-alone 2000 watt PSW inverter, Victron was not in the running. At the same time, I know that my $200 Chinese inverter could end up in trashed any moment.

Oh, and batteries. No, not V for batteries. Unless I had a yacht...maybe. But everything I can afford (everything else) and depend on in my two little systems is blue.

So Victron just had another round of price cuts on their inverter/chargers. $1052.30 for a 12v/3000VA inverter-charger and $1711 for a 48/5000VA, $3609.95 on their 10kVA Quattro. That quattro was previously ~$4042.

Their 330ah Lithium batteries were $3200/each about 4 months ago and they are now only $1654

I'm sure no matter what though people are still going to call it overpriced. It could be $10 and people would still complain.

My first inverter was a Sigineer 12/3000W inverter/charger and I paid $995 for it on Amazon. It didn't have a tenth the features a Multiplus has and the idle consumption was YES.

We can compare that to a Samlex 12/3000W that is $2321.40 - heck, you can buy two Victron inverters for the price of a Samlex

Thanks for the update, perfect timing as I'm looking for a multiplus or Quattro. Any indication if the Quattro 2 range will move up into the larger capacities?

if they offered a split phase 240 version of that 10kw Quattro (without needing a separate transformer) I would jump on one at that price. thats cheaper then paralleling two magnum 4448 for the same rough power.

stop it you freaking enabler! i already have the magnums and my wife is pissed enough for the next six months after this battery purchase!
Maybe you can sell it to her as you really need to build an earthquake shelter made purely out on Winstron 400Ah cells. It's the only way to be truly safe! You'll prob need many many more batteries ...
