Luyuan battery case

I have 16 two year old LF280N cells I ordered boxes for and just let her know for those two boxes.

Well my two more boxes just turned into six, two for 24volt 304ah and four custom boxes with two 12volt 304ah batteries in each. Amy modified the custom boxes for the same cost as before $160.00 each.

So what did you get.
96 cells and 2 Luyan boxes.

I already have another Hoffman box like the one in my house and 64 cells go in that box for the shop system. One of the Luyan boxes goes in my house to add to that bank bringing the total to 72 Kwh in the house. This will give me 6 to 7 days of running with limited sun in winter and minimal power usage. The rest of the year it will help with having enough capacity to do laundry for example, when my wife wants instead of having to wait for sunny days. Last year, our total usage from grid power was less than 3% of the total Kwh for the year. Not sure on the extra Luyan box, it might be installed in my golf cart and used to supplement reserve in the shop in the winter.

This order brings me to about 58kwh for the 24v house backup and 21kWh for the 12v mobile system. Hope to have the house system set up by fall.

I currently have 58Kwh. We can go about 5.5 days with minimal power usage. With another 14Kwh, I'm hoping to get thru 6 days easily. It seems the sun does shine after about 6 days of heavy cloud cover.

Can that shelving unit handle that weight? If one of those legs buckle....

Edit, read further on, nevermind.
This shelving unit specs say:
Each shelf can hold up to 350 lbs evenly distributed, total 1400 lbs loading capacity.
Adjustable foot leveler help ensure stability.
Well that is HOPIUM and not reality obviously. The photo as stated is to test - a fry run and well it's a FAIL ... It's really easy to "rock" the shelf, not that stable... so destined for the toolshop.. Solution hunting still underway.

@Steve_S
This might not be the size you want but 800lbs per shelf capacity. I have some of these in my shop with casters. Heavy duty but not cheap!

I am looking forward to seeing your setup. Are you using closed loop BMSs?
I can if I need to but no not worried about coms, I plan on a smartshunt per 4 batteries to only monitor each 1200ah bank at this point. This system so far is backup only no solar.

Can’t wait to see the custom cases, it will be nice to have two 12 volt 304ah in one small box. I will have 2400ah portable for the work truck in four packs.

I have to take a break from the backup for a few days, I have a delivery from China tomorrow. I ordered two D/C refrigerators, one for the work truck and basically one cause it was free. $744.00 shipped.

We just got back from the Shop-Venture...
Picked up an Adjustable 5-Shelf Steel Metal & Wood Storage Rack / Shelving Unit, 41 x 18 x 72-in, with 5 timber shelves that are adjustable and hold a total of 4,000 lbs (1,814 kg). These are Steel & Wood (not particle krud). It's too high so I will have to cut it down to size. We are assembling this shortly. SALE Priced for $120 CAD.

EDIT - UPDATE. New Shelf is together. WAY BETTER !!
Turns out I can use 1/2 of it which gives me a total height with space etc @ 42-1/2" to the TOP of the cases. This is also including a short double shelf on the bottom which lets me put a sheet of foam insulation between them to prevent the floor acting as a cold sink. The Hammertone finish etc also LOOKS  hehehe This unit is also 41" wide (within my 44" max limit). With everything on it, Maggie & I shifted it to see if there is any Racking and NOPE, nice & snug. I stood on one of the shelves and while I'm only 130lbs or so, no give or anything. Fully loaded and also no racking ! NB: This is a 2 person assembly process, tool free except for a needed mallet.

This is a Canadian Tire product but for othe fellow Canucks here's a link & for our southern neighbours there is likely identical/similar to these.

Image UPDATED with measurements for reference. NB: These are 24V/8S Cases.

I am not making rapid progress myself.
I just try to keep my retired self amused while making my batteries easier for my wife and others to understand.
Doing the same, wife/neighbor kid proof less the retired part, running a HVAC company full time as well.
